In the 8+ years that I’ve been teaching fitness, I’ve come to realize that exercise has the potential to be more than just something we squeeze into our schedule a few times a week. If we invest the energy and time, it has the power to make many other facets of our lives incrementally better as well. At some point, we’ve all experienced it with working out: the harder we work and more consistent we are, the more we want to clean up other areas of our life too. 

If you had told high school Allie that I would be where I am today, I never would have believed you. My passion for fitness and nutrition didn’t come until after I finished my college career at University of Colorado when I was (finally) convinced to try a CrossFit class. After a month of foundations classes, I was hooked.

CrossFit has translated well beyond the gym walls for me. It has become my lifestyle – the constant pursuit of excellence. What separates CrossFit from the other driving factors in my life however are the incredible relationships and camaraderie that inherently come with this experience. It’s a program that brings together all walks of life – and thrives off it. With the sole requirement being the will to succeed, CrossFit is truly for anyone who is willing to try.

One of my benchmarks for success and a happy life is to be able to blur the line between work and play, and I can say with 100% certainty that owning and coaching at RTC has done just that.
