The mission of USA Functional Fitness is to serve as the governing body for comparative functional fitness in the United States.  We are a small part of a larger mission and vision of getting our sport into the Olympic Games in 2028 being held in Los Angeles.  This charge is being led by the International Functional Fitness Federation (IF3).

Founded in 2017 by Gretchen Kittelberger as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, the first National Championship took place in 2017 in Colorado Springs.  In 2020, the National Championship will be held at RTC Fitness in Canton, Ohio from May 1st to 3rd with the World Championships taking place in Abbotsford, Canada in August.

During the National Championship Event, the top 5 Women and 5 Men will be determined to comprise the National Team. In conjunction with Open selection, we will be holding a Masters Championship (40+) and a Youth event (17 and under).  The Masters Division winners will also win the right to compete at the Masters World Championships taking place in Lisbon, Portugal in October.
