RTC Fitness 25.3 Recap: Neon, Wall Walks & One Final Showdown
Week 3 of the 2025 RTC Intramural Open brought the heat, the lights, and the most wall walks we’ve seen in a single workout. And with our neon party theme lighting up the gym, Friday Night Lights was absolutely buzzing. With only one event left in the season, every rep, every cheer, and every piece of high-vis mattered.
Let’s take one last look back before we crown our Intramural Champions next week…
The Showdown: Open Workout 25.3
For Time:
- 5 Wall Walks
- 50-Calorie Row
- 5 Wall Walks
- 25 Deadlifts
- 5 Wall Walks
- 25 Cleans
- 5 Wall Walks
- 25 Snatches
- 5 Wall Walks
- 50-Calorie Row
Time Cap: 20 Minutes
♀ 155-lb Deadlift, 85-lb Clean, 65-lb Snatch
♂ 225-lb Deadlift, 135-lb Clean, 95-lb Snatch
This one was a grind. Wall walks into barbell cycling into more wall walks PLUS rowing? Brutal. But RTC showed up and showed out.

The Highlights
- Heat One kicked off with a youth takeover as Colton L, Michael H, Graci H, Cora R, Nora S, Quin T, and Charlotte Y led the charge. Their effort and energy never fail to inspire.
- Coach Jenny PR’d her redo for the second week in a row!
- Tara F followed the full scaled loading for the first time!
- Hillary B crushed her first RX Open workout.
- Shawn K PR’d his redo attempt!
- Michaela A surprised herself by going RX in 25.3!
- Coach Nate may have won the dead hang, but he also won the neon fashion show.
- Lauren O, Ryan W, Zach F, and the Salser Family deserve major props for embracing the theme.
- And the Snyder’s showed up to support again! 💚
- Special kudos to Michelle H, who missed both FNL and Sunday Showdown but knocked out the workout solo on Monday night. That’s true grit.
Spirit of the Open: Week 3
This week, we’re honoring those who showed us what true community looks like:
🏅 Holly T, Coach Jenna, Kim B, and Chris H made the tough but smart decision to sit out 25.3 due to injuries or flare-ups, but they still showed up to judge, cheer, and bring the spirit to FNL and Sunday Showdown. THAT is what this season is all about.
Let’s not forget Matt S, still brand new to CrossFit, who’s done every Open workout, helped change weights at FNL, and faced 25.3 head-on. First Open, but already an MVP.
Friday Night Lights Vibes
This week’s theme? NEON. And the gym was glowing. Shoutout to Shelly B for stepping up as our official judge for 25.3 FNL.
It also featured the return of our team challenges, pushed from Week 2 due to the surprise snowstorm. Let’s break it down:
- Surprise Relay (Burpee Broad Jumps + Crab Walks)
- Hakuna MuhSQUATa took the W thanks to a false start by High Spirits.
- High Spirits only had five teammates left by the end of the night… a valiant but humorous effort. Next year, team!
- Dead Hang Contest (1st to 6th)
- Coach Nate (Hakuna MuhSQUATa)
- Coach Colin (High Spirits)
- Sheila F (High Spirits)
- Coach Olivia (Hakuna MuhSQUATa)
- Coach Jenny (Gym & Juice)
- Zach F (Gym & Juice)
- Max Calorie Test (Ski + Echo Bike)
- 🏆 1st: Gym & Juice – 115 cals
- 🥈 2nd: Hakuna MuhSQUATa – 111 cals
- 🥉 3rd: High Spirits – 100 cals
Looking Ahead
🎨 Hakuna MuhSQUATa took home the Best Dressed award for Week 3—ONE more teammate in neon than Gym & Juice. That was CLOSE.
🔥 Gym & Juice dominated the workout rankings, thanks in part to Coach Jenny’s gymnastics magic rubbing off on her team. Wall walk mastery in full effect!
🖤 High Spirits… well, week 3 wasn’t your week. We love y’all, but someone has to bring up the rear. Maybe your neon shirts were too dim to notice?
What’s Next?
👀 We’re not dropping final results yet. Why? Because the Spirit Points are still being counted, and they might just shift the podium.
Stay tuned for our final season recap post on Tuesday, March 25—we’ll announce the champions and wrap up all the love, sweat, and memories from the 2025 Intramural Open.
Until then RTC, be proud. You crushed it. 💪
