What Missy Loves About RTC!
October Member of the Month Missy Irwin joined RTC in November 2022, when she became one of the first to sign up for the newly created L.I.F.E. class. Since then, Missy has been a regular at that class, and is often referred to as a L.I.F.E. OG!
Missy says that she has always been an “active person” who walks 2-3 miles every morning, but she had trouble sticking to other exercise routines. RTC has changed all of that. “With RTC, I have learned the correct ways to exercise,” she says, “and my coaches have encouraged me to challenge myself on my workouts.” Missy also notes that the coaches know how to push, but are also “mindful about any modifications needed.” Most importantly, Missy says that “meeting ladies with similar issues makes me know I’m not abnormal. L.I.F.E. class has helped to build my confidence, and exercising is now fun!”

Missy has an associate degree in accounting, and is retired from the corporate world. She now serves as mayor of the village of Mt. Eaton. She has 2 brothers, 6 nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great niece. She lives in Mt. Eaton with her cat, Goldie.

Best vacation spot: Lake Cumberland, KY
People would be surprised to know that: I love to drive heavy equipment and watch truck and tractor pulls
Something that always makes me smile: Someone smiling at me first. And kittens, puppies, calves, colts, and all baby animals!
If I won the lotto I’d: Share with my friends and family and improve our park in Mt. Eaton
The best thing about being the mayor of a small town is…meeting new people every day and working to improve Mt. Eaton for the residents
A goal I’m working on is: Redecorate my home to a ‘Family Inn’ including a gym, and be more consistent with exercise
