Clocking Time With…Shelly Bailey

What Shelly loves about RTC!

Shelly came to RTC over 3 years ago, and hasn’t looked back since.  She says she loves “the community/people the most,” and has “never felt more welcomed and seen at a fitness facility.”  “It’s not something that fades away,” says Shelly.  “I have met my best friends here.  I have grown significantly and met many goals, thanks to the guidance and support from the coaches and members.  This place has literally saved my life.”  Speaking of goals, Shelly says that RTC has helped her achieve them through “education, support, and accountability,” leading her to do things she never thought she could.  “I’ve learned more about myself in the past couple of years than I have in my whole life,” she says. “The diversity and knowledge/experience of everyone at RTC has been integral in my journey.  Starting at RTC has led me to get into the strongman world, as well.  RTC is my safe place.”  Shelly recently tore her ACL at a strongman competition, but her recovery has been going smoothly, thanks in part to the support of her gym family.  “I don’t think it would be going so well if I was not in shape prior to surgery.  It feels great to be back in the gym, moving, and surrounded by people!  It’s been extremely important to listen to my body and push myself when I can.  The support I have received from family and friends has been invaluable!”
