What Alex Loves About RTC!
Alex Rundell just celebrated her 3 year anniversary at RTC, and there’s simply no one with a brighter personality or positive attitude! She’s always got a smile on her face and a word of encouragement for everyone, and if there’s fun to be had, it’s happening with Alex at the center of it. When asked what she loves most about RTC, she raves about the community that always pushes her to be her best. “Everyone at RTC is so personal, outgoing, fun, and hardworking,” she says. “They will push you because they know you can. The environment is like no other!” She adds, “Since I started here, I’ve been pushed to believe in myself; I’ve hit all new maxes and learned muscle ups! Alex also loves that fitness is a family affair: her husband, Coach Gavin, and her mom, Heide, both work out at RTC. “Our family is competitive!” says Alex. “We’re always making sure we’re attending classes whenever we can, and we love comparing each other’s scores. I also strive to beat Gavin in everything!”
Get to Know Alex!
Alex graduated from Mount Union with a biochemistry degree, and now works at Akron Children’s Hospital as a clinical coordinator. But in her words, “work is not as important as family.” She and husband Gavin, who met each other at college, have 2 dogs named Millie and Murphy. They are extremely active and are always busy, whether it’s working on a house project, kayaking, or running with the dogs outside.

Favorite exercise: Wall walks
Least favorite exercise: Wall balls or anything heavy
Favorite RTC nickname: The “clock starter!” I love being able to pump everyone up, and let’s be honest, I love yelling.
Person I’d most like to have lunch with: Both sets of my grandparents
Best vacation spot: Aruba
People would be surprised to know that: I’m obsessed with Christmas! I think Gavin likes it just as much!
Something that always makes me smile: Everything! I’m always smiling!
A goal I’m working on is: Keep on moving!
